The Traceability project is developing a solution that uses smart screws and blockchain technology to ensure transparent and tamper-proof traceability in manufacturing and supply chains. This technology enhances accountability and efficiency in product lifecycle management.

Technology

Our smart screws are designed with a unique feature that ensures authenticity and integrity throughout the lifecycle of a product or component. Once installed, these smart screws become tamper-proof, allowing for a one-time installation that permanently links the screw to the product or component.

By incorporating an embedded technology within each smart screw, we enable seamless traceability and data collection, providing an auditable record of the manufacturing journey. This includes timestamps, assembly details, consumed materials and other relevant data like torque, all securely stored and enabled to verify on public blockchain network.

Goals

Our immediate goal is to develop the hardware and software components of the traceability system and conduct pilot tests with manufacturing partners. We aim to demonstrate the system’s effectiveness in real-world applications.

In the long term, we aim to set a new standard for traceability in manufacturing and supply chains globally. Our vision includes expanding the technology to various industries, ensuring that every product can be traced back to its origin with absolute certainty.
